Center of Family Love
Description
Direct daily internal and external operational
activities for the ICF/ Geriatric Center in order to
provide excellent care to the residents served. Oversee
all personnel management duties associated with the
clinical, quality management, dietary, and housekeeping
areas ensuring effective and efficient operational and
financial processes to comply with federal, state, and
local requirements, and ensure fiscal responsibility to
the organization.
Primary Responsibilities
• Develop and implement policies and procedures to
comply with Federal, State and Local requirements to
fulfill licensure standards.
• Ensure compliance with established policies by all ICF/
Geriatric Center personnel. Periodically review policies
and propose changes as found necessary for the ICF/
Geriatric Center.
• Oversee resident bed occupancy and arrangement for
replacement of all vacancies in a timely manner.
• Represent CFL with outside agencies concerning care of
residents in ICF/ Geriatric Center.
• Serve as liaison with community hospitals and other
health facilities in the area so as to coordinate their
services with the ICF/ Geriatric Center.
• Monitors supervision of ICF/ Geriatric Center
employees to ensure residents are receiving quality
care, approved treatment and appropriate behavior
management.
• Meet with ICF/ Geriatric Center department heads at
regular intervals. Receive advice from all department
heads on matters pertaining to department operations and
external relationships.
• Continuously analyze departmental operations, evaluate
the environment and equipment necessary for effective
functioning and implement any necessary procedural
changes.
• Request the purchase of ICF/ Geriatric Center
equipment and supplies necessary for achieving
programmatic objectives with in the departments’ fiscal
year budget.
• Provide interpretation of applicable policies and
regulations and determine when a proposed action varies
from established policy, procedure, or precedent.
• Monitors budget to ensure that spending is maintained
within parameters of operating budget.
• Prepares reports on office activities required by
federal, state, or funding agencies.
• Ensure each resident’s IP is implemented, monitored
and maintained throughout calendar year.
• Ensure safety and protection of each resident
receiving ICF/ MR services.
• Review frequently and meet with assigned QMRP to
ensure that progress is made toward the fulfillment of
individual goals and objectives.
• Determine the personnel requirements of CFL and hire
staff to implement the facility policies and procedures.
• Reviews job descriptions and procedure manuals for the
ICF/ Geriatric Center departments.
• Participate in the scheduling, planning and procuring
of materials and information for staff meetings and
in-service education programs.
• Provide guidance and direction on industry related
topics to employees and managers.
• Ensure follow up action and evaluation of performance,
with adequate documentation of action taken.
• Review all incident reports and implement an action
plan around each incident.
• Ensure that all human resources and risk management
policies and procedures are followed by all staff within
CFL.
• Other duties as assigned by the Executive Director.
Qualifications
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be

Education and/or Experience
Must possess a current Oklahoma Nursing Home
Administrator’s License. Three years experience
providing services to people with developmental
disabilities. Demonstrated familiarity with state and
federal programs relating to care and treatment of
people with developmental disabilities preferred.
Demonstrated supervisory experience and budget
administration.
Evaluation
The Executive Director will evaluate performance of this
job in accordance with the provisions of the Center of
Family Love’s policy on personnel evaluations.
